Building Skills to Last a Lifetime
Playing tennis provides a great opportunity to build physical strength, develop perseverance and determination, and boost self-esteem. The skills learned in tennis will help with problem-solving, social interactions, and provide an activity that can be pursued throughout adulthood.
Tennis lessons, clinics, and inter-club games are included in membership.
Competitive tennis team requires registration and small fees; information is noted below.
We offer Varsity and Junior Varsity teams that competes with local clubs in singles and doubles matches with a season-ending championship and a club award banquet.
- Varsity is intended for players 12 years of age and over who are experienced at match play.
- Junior Varisty is intended for experienced players under the age of 12 who are almost ready for match play.

Team fees help defray the cost of team gifts given out at the awards banquet at the end of the summer.
Jeffrey Hedden, the new USPTA certified tennis professional from Rumford, RI has replaced Eric Kravitz to coach the Junior Varsity and Varsity Team. He was the Director of Racquet Sports and Assistant Director of Tennis of Agawam Hunt Club in Rumford, RI until March 2019. He is a former Division I tennis player at University of Rhode Island. He has an extensive list of tennis coaching down the east coast, among them, the Hay Harbor Club in Fisher Island, NY, Tennis Rhode Island in East Providence, RI, Mt Vernon Athletic Club, VA and Westhampton Beach and Tennis Sports in New York. He also helped develop pickle ball program at Agawam Hunt.
